John MacArthur is an energy transition strategist and sustainability leader with experience spanning operations, strategy, economics, climate policy, technology, venture investment and advisory work. His career includes leadership roles at Shell and ADNOC, founding chair of OGCI Climate Investments, and currently as a Visiting Professor at Imperial College London. John is Honorary Chair at the London College of Energy Economics. He is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and Fellow of the Energy Institute. John works with boards, investors, corporates and institutions on energy transition, energy security, resilience, scenario thinking and capital allocation — helping organisations turn energy transition complexity into competitive advantage.
